Lee Liu: This is a great app! The one thing I would love to see is a timer option for 59 seconds (just under one minute) to stop video recording. Although you have a 1 minute option, a full minute video is not sendable through IG messenger and also sms here in California. I find snipping the images down to size a bit troublesome. My favorite features of app are the ability to record in very low resolution to save memory and also manual focus.

KEN MCDANIEL: We have been using this app for years now for work photos. It allows us to take photos in VGA and date stamp right in the app and then upload right from our phones to the website. These are all things that the native Samsung camera doesn't allow us to do. It's the perfect solution for our needs and has never let us down. Bruce Wrigleys Gumchewz: Won't record 60fps video. Always stops recording after 1/4th of a second with an error. This used to be one of the best apps out there. Now it's just LOADED with problems. Have an LG V60 that is capable of HQ 60FPS video. Try to record a 1280x720 @ 60fps video. Set bit rate to 25Mbps, come back to camera screen & it's saying "56Mbps". It completely IGNORES the bitrate I set it to. Then as soon as I start recording, it immediately stops after 1/4th of a second & says there was an error.

It's still mega useful for the screen always staying on at full brightness, something I can't believe the default app won't do. Open Cam could do without many of its settings, which don't seem to make a difference, and are organized in a way I don't understand. Please consider focusing development on the photography experience itself. The "scenes" are a great start - Right now they're far too subtle. Please go hog wild!

David Allen: This is hands down the best free 3rd party camera available. I failed to see that before and realized lately that some features on Samsung devices are locked to 3rd part apps. Example being the telephoto lens(es), 12-bit & 16-bit raw (only 10-bit is available as far as I can tell), 8k video, 108MP, macro mode and list goes on. For the most part, I like the exposure and focus bracketing. I usually wind up doing edits on a laptop, so those come in handy.

ya a: Love it. But now colors in photos & video are strangely muted. Nearly grayscale, but there is some color. Very weird. Hence I've stopped using it. Cannot find a fix. It's not a camera mode, and doesn't depend on available light either. Don't remember when this first started, but seems like a year or more ago. LOVE all the options, settings, and camera controls. A Google user: Good camera app which adds manual controls to newer devices which have removed them in an attempt to dumb things down for the average consumer. I have no idea why, it'll go fine for hours then I'll check it and realize that it stopped itself. Annoying that I have to check it constantly.
